Hi and welcome to my portfolio and resume website.

As the name of the site suggests, my name is Russ Teicheira, an IT Professional, concentrating on security and compliance. I have experience working in the Pharmaceutical, Energy, SAAS, and FinTech industries.  My primary experience is in PCI, ISO, and NIST. I have experience in GDPR, high-level network, application, Windows system security, and monitoring. I am comfortable working in large enterprises and start-ups. My primary focus over the last couple of years has been working on risk assessments in the PCI, GDPR, and ISO/NIST areas.

Lately, I have been engaged in web design, with a primary focus on leveraging WordPress and Wix site builders. Check out my Project Showcase page to see some examples of sites.

I have been preparing for my chosen career since my very first computer in Kindergarten. While still in elementary school I built my first PC that continued to work (though with upgrades) through high school. Through my early schooling years, I volunteered in computer labs, assisting in installing my middle school’s first network infrastructure and an improved computer lab. After high school, and getting my first store-bought PC (a laptop) I majored in Business Information Systems, with a concentration in Management Information Systems at California State University, Chico.

Outside of work, I am a San Jose Sharks, Golden State Warriors & San Francisco 49ers fan. I am a community leader for an active gaming community where we are active in Arma, PlanetSide 2, and Star Citizen. I also enjoy SciFi, Action, Comedy, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, along with anything Star Trek. I usually always have a project going on around my house that I am working on or learning about some new technology where I am a semi-active member of the Daily Tech News Show podcast community.

I have had past legal issues and am always willing to discuss them with potential clients and employers. I am active in clearing these up and becoming a better person.
